Rant Theory Podcast #6: Super Turbo Fatty edition

Rant Theory Podcast #6: Super Turbo Fatty edition

After a week long absence, the Rant Theory podcast is back, sporting three days growth, a big pineapple stubby holder and a mad hangover.

This week we have a special (maybe even an ultra) guest, local indie developer Paul Hayward sitting in on the cast, giving us his insights on making games from the ground up.

We also hit on Resident Evil 5, Hawx, Killzone 2, Peggle XBLA, an iPhone and demo round up and more innuendo than you can handle.

It's freaking huge.

iPhone 3.0: This shit be slamming.

I came across a CNET hands on with the new iPhone 3.0 update. VERY impressive. The phone that already kicks a bunch of ass is about to get a bigger shoe.

Papa Metal

P.S. Thanks for your patience with Rant Theory Podcast #6, and also all your kind words. Both Bec and I are totally stoked with our new daughter Harper Lee. So far, she has been an absolute angel. So far.....

Podcast delay

Hey guys, just a quick note to let you know that the Rant Theory podcast #6 is going to be delayed until early next week.

But we have a good excuse...Our audio editing wizard in chief, Mr Metal has welcomed his very first child! So we need to give the folks some time to relax and get to know their beautiful new daughter.

So please be patient and trust me, its a goodun....we had to find another seat!

In the mean time hit us up with some questions at Ranttheory@gmail.com.

Thanks for your support and cheers to the new parents!

Ever had a Big Sister that could kill you?

Now you can, Thanks to Bioshock 2! I was already excited for the sequel to one of my favorite games of the last few years, but now even more so.

I'm already starting to think about how this will work, even with such minor details like the above concept art. Just look at the build of the Big Sister. Lean and agile, the polar opposite to her male counterpart from the original Bioshock. They don't look like they are there to just stand and protect. I imagine terrifying scenes where I will be hunted down as opposed to being pushed aside. Maybe they will be assisting in taking ADAM straight from living people as opposed to dead therefore the little sisters need to be present at all times, hence the cage on her back.

My own speculation, but still so much potential. Only time will tell.
